Keisha Reaves

Certified in perinatal mental health, Keisha Reaves specializes in assisting birthing parents navigating diverse challenges, from fertility issues to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She is the clinical director and owner of Push Thru Therapy, a maternal mental health group practice in Atlanta, Georgia. 

A dedicated volunteer, she has contributed to Northside Hospital’s Infant Loss/Bereavement Group and served three years on the Postpartum Support International Georgia Chapter Board as the Training Coordinator.

  • Actively involved in community initiatives, having worked with the Atlanta Birth Center and Health Babies Healthy Mothers. Her passion for Black maternal mental health and reproductive education led her to play a pivotal role as a founding coordinator and presenter for the Black Maternal Mental Health Summit for PSI-Georgia. She is also the 2024 recipient of the Nykky Floyd Award presented by PSI-Georgia.

  • Her commitment to education extends beyond the professional realm, as evidenced by her role as a fellow with Emory University’s Psychoanalytic Institute.

  • Served on the Georgia Department of Public Health Maternal Mortality Review Committee.

  • Co-authored a published study on black maternal mental health titled, Enhancing Obstetric Healthcare Providers’ Knowledge of Black Maternal Mental Health: A Feasibility Study.

Knetta Adkins

A skilled health policy advocate, and donor relations professional, Knetta Adkins works as a birth doula to amplify the voices of expecting families and promote healthier birth experiences. Knetta's mission is to find touchpoints of courage within the individuals she serves. Her unique subject matter knowledge and experiences exist at the intersection of birth equity and justice, with the intention of advocating for historically under-resourced communities. 

  • Knetta is the Founder and Owner of Douwella, a doula practice that services expecting families across the Atlanta, Georgia area.

  • She actively extends her commitment to advancing birth equity by serving as a board member of the Atlanta Birth Center and strengthening maternal healthcare practices.  

  • Passionate about issues centered around racial equity, women and children, criminal justice reform, and voter registration.

  • Knetta holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia and a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Rowan University.

Shaconna Haley

Shaconna is a Holistic Intuitive Practitioner™, Perinatal Consultant, Certified Holistic Doula (CHD), Independent Sociological Researcher and Dean of Students for The Matrona Foundation’s Birthkeeper Program. She has over 28 years of experience in women and girls’ life course transitions, education, health and wellness, reproductive empowerment, mentoring/life coaching, and as a holistic doula/ birthkeeper.  

  • As founder of InnerLight Holistic Doula & Perinatal Consulting, LLC..  She integrates her Holistic Intuitive Practice™ paradigm into her work as perinatal consultant for organizations , rites of passage specialist and community advocate for holistic reproductive/maternal wellness, and perinatal mental health in Georgia.  

  • Her community work as a strategic empowerment consultant addresses women’s issues and diversity-inclusion with emphasis on mentoring and holistic reproductive and maternal wellness.

  • Invests in holistic community perinatal professional development as both practitioners and women through the InnerLight Holistic Doula Mentorship Circle (IHDMC), a 12-month fee-based, culturally-informed program for direct one-on- one mentoring and group development as a holistic doula and/or birthworker, currently in its 7th Cohort year.

  • Proactively serves Georgia and Atlanta Metro community as a contributor to the Georgia Postpartum Support International Advocacy Committee, Birth Equity Lab of The Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW) & IHI and the Georgia Perinatal Quality Collaborative (GaPQC) – Health Equity sub-committee, a member of the Black Mamas Matter Alliance (BMMA) Research Advisory Committee, HMHB Doula Access Work Group, 4th Trimester Collaborative and, at the national level as part of the National Preeclampsia Foundation’s Racial Disparities Task Force and the Georgia Hope for Moms Task Force.

  • Most recently, serves as Dean of Students of the Matrona Foundation Quantum Midwifery Birthkeepers Program.  

  • Shaconna is an outdoor enthusiast, a foodie, and an all-around renaissance woman, loving the arts --- all genres of music, good movies and books. What warms her heart is laughing with her loves (son and fiancé) and gatherings  with family, friends, Sankofa Enlightenment Sista’s and the ILH family of mentees, perinatal assistants, and Wise Women practitioners.

Stephanie Eason Adams

Stephanie Eason Adams is an accomplished marketing executive and strategic business leader with more than 20 years of experience driving growth, cultural relevance, and consumer engagement for global lifestyle and consumer brands. In her current role as Head of Client Services at Matrix MKTG, she leads integrated brand strategy, experiential marketing, and partnership development for Fortune 500 clients, helping brands authentically connect with culture through innovative campaigns and live experiences.

  • Her expertise spans brand development, consumer engagement, sponsorship strategy, and cross-functional leadership, and she has a reputation for building impactful programs that drive both business results and meaningful community connections.

  • Stephanie has long been an advocate for patient-centered maternity care, driven by a deeply rooted belief that one of the greatest gifts you can give a family is a well-supported and empowered mother. That belief ultimately led her to choose the birth center for her own care experience, further deepening her commitment to equitable, compassionate, and respectful care for families. As Board Chair, she is dedicated to supporting the organization’s mission, sustainability, and long-term impact within the Atlanta community.

  • Stephanie lives in West Atlanta with her husband, Lester, and their two children, Sage and Lennox.

Lauren Parker

Lauren L. Parker is a healthcare strategy and operations leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing operational excellence, executive leadership, and community engagement across the healthcare industry. Deeply passionate about advancing healthcare equity and advocating for accessible, patient-centered care for underserved communities.

  • Throughout her career,  she has led strategic initiatives that improve organizational performance, expand healthcare access, and strengthen community partnerships throughout the state of Georgia. Her work has included supporting corporate governance, workforce development and public health efforts, including large-scale community health outreach and COVID-19 response initiatives.

  • Currently serves on the Board of Directors for Atlanta Birth Center and Women in Healthcare Georgia, where she supports initiatives focused on maternal health, wellness, and community empowerment.

  • A certified yoga instructor and wellness coach, Lauren also champions holistic health and mindfulness programs that increase wellness accessibility in her community.
